Jack works great, but the finish rusts right away

A Hi-lift jack is a must for every off-roader. They are a life saver when your stuck and there are no trees around to winch from.
The lifting action is very smooth and the direction switching mechanism works well. I like the adjustable removable clamping mechanism as well, although I haven't gotten the chance to use it.
My only disappointment is that I had it outside in a couple of rain storms and the bar is already starting to rust in about every hole. I understand that there is a lot of weight on the contact points as it lifts and there may not be a way around the rusting. I would've liked to see the finish last longer, especially on this extreme that touted it's finish.
All in all I am happy though |
Works as intended

| Quality and finish is great. Exactly what Hi-Lift is known for. Functionality is what you would expect. Four stars due to the required crap you need but is not included like the standard non-locking mounts which run at least half the price of the jack themselves which do nothing other than allow you to bring along your portable jack. |
